Ri-Bhoi currently has 68 active cases, while 82 people have recovered from the disease and 17 armed forces personnel who tested positive were moved to Assam.

The random samples were tested using the rapid antigen test, Kurbah said.

Elaborating on measures the district administration has taken in the fight against the coronavirus, Kurbah said that micro containment zones were declared to handle a spate of 16 cases in CMJ Breweries and two in Godrej Consumer Products.

She also appealed to the general public and headmen to extend their support and to work together in fighting against Covid-19 to contain the virus.
