Rising People’s Party Welcomes Nagaland Wrestling Champions at Dimapur

Dimapur: Rising People’s Party (RPP) welcomed the Nagaland wrestling champions under the NWA at the Dimapur railway station upon their arrival on Friday. 

“It is a proud moment for Nagaland that the team of wrestlers have won a total of 20 medals at the 9th Traditional Wrestling and Pankration Championship 2021 held at Goa,” said RPP in a statement on Saturday.

According to the statement, RPP team led by its General Secretary Amai Chingkhu felicitated the Wrestling team with a certificate of appreciation at a short welcoming program held at the premises of the Dimapur Railway Station.

Lhikhro Kreo, Secy (Admin) RPP, in his short welcome address thanked the wrestling team for their excellent feat of achievement in bringing laurels for the entire State, the statement said.

He also stressed on the need for recognition by the government for such acts of valour and said that Sports achievements are being completely neglected by the present Government. He further congratulated the team on behalf of RPP and wished them further success in the years to come. The session concluded with a mass prayer and photo session with the RPP team, the statement added.
