IMPHAL/UKHRUL: A river embankment along the Nambol River was breached at Kongkham Mamang Leikai in Nambol, Bishnupur district, Manipur, on Monday afternoon following continuous heavy rainfall over the past two days.

The breach, measuring about 10 feet, occurred along the Nambol River near Salampham Mapa at around 2 pm, causing floodwaters to wash away fish from nearby ponds.

However, despite the ongoing efforts, the embankment had not been repaired at the time of filing this report.
