UKHRUL: Nearly 190 people received free medical consultation and medicines during a three-day medical camp organised at K Phaizawl and Apple Buds Academy, Sapormeina, from July 17 to 19.
The camp was conducted by Dr U.R. Nived, a medical practitioner serving at a private hospital in Lakhimpur, Assam, in collaboration with Apple Buds Academy.
The first day of the camp was held on July 17 at K Phaizawl, an internally displaced persons (IDP) village, where around 60 residents underwent medical check-ups and received medicines free of cost.

The camp continued on July 18 and 19 at Apple Buds Academy, Sapormeina, providing similar services to about 130 elderly persons and children from the area.
According to the organisers, the initiative was undertaken to make basic healthcare services accessible to people who have limited access to medical facilities, particularly those affected by displacement.
The management of Apple Buds Academy expressed appreciation to Dr Nived for volunteering his time and resources to conduct the camp. Beneficiaries also conveyed their gratitude for the medical assistance extended during the three-day programme.
