Ukhrul: The Raphei Katamnao Long, the apex student body of the Northern Tangkhul region on Saturday carried out cleanliness drive along NH 202 between the stretch of Ukhrul Headquarters to Langdang village in association with Langdang Katamnao Long.
Overseeing the comprehensive sanitization of the landfill located along National Highway 202, with a keen focus on addressing health risks and mitigating environmental pollution stemming from the accumulation of waste, the operation was executed with meticulous care.

Following rigorous efforts, the sanitization operation concluded triumphantly, marking a significant milestone in the region’s environmental sustainability endeavors. In light of this achievement, the Vice President of RKL, Worreisem Yangya, urged the citizens to refrain from further dumping activities at the site, thereby contributing to the preservation of our natural surroundings.

Over a hundred conscientious individuals, including executives, actively participated in the endeavor, demonstrating a collective commitment to environmental stewardship. The operation utilized essential equipment, including one JCB, two pickup trucks, and one mini truck, to ensure its efficiency and success.
