UKHRUL, July 24: The Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL) has prohibited the movement of heavy vehicles weighing over 10 tonnes along the Jessami–Ukhrul stretch of National Highway-202 from July 28 to August 5, citing scheduled road repair and maintenance works.
In a public notice issued on July 24, the Raphei students’ body said the restriction is necessary to facilitate the repair works and ensure public safety during the maintenance period.
RKL requested transport operators and all concerned to cooperate with the temporary restriction, stating that it would enable maintenance teams to carry out the work without disruption.
