Delhi: The Rongmei Phwam Delhi (RPD) and Rongmei Chamnac Phwam Delhi (RCPD) have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Gaichanglungliu Gaiduansing Kamei, commonly known as Gaina, IRS (1994 batch), Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Central 2 Kolkata, Government of India, for receiving the esteemed CBDT Certificate of Meritorious Service 2024.
The award, presented by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, recognizes Ms. Kamei’s exceptional contributions in her role, particularly during her tenure as Commissioner of Income Tax, Administration, and Taxpayer Services, North Eastern Region, Guwahati. Her work has been lauded for its innovativeness, sustainability, impact, and broad scope.

The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman personally handed over the certificate to Ms. Kamei during a grand ceremony held in the Plenary Hall of Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, as part of the 165th anniversary celebrations of Income Tax in India.
“This distinguished honor underscores her unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions to the people of India and the Government of India,” the Rongmei organizations stated.
“We are proud to recognize her remarkable achievements and the significant difference she continues to make,” added the two Rongmei Delhi bodies.
