Dimapur, July 30: The Rising People’s Party (RPP) has issued a press release sharply criticizing the Government of India’s representative, AK Mishra, stating that his “latest adventurism is akin to putting the cart before the horse.”
The RPP called on Mishra to clarify the present status of the “Framework Agreement” and the “Agreed Position.” The party questioned whether these agreements are still relevant and if he has succeeded in bringing all warring factions on board for a final settlement. “If yes, what is the time frame for this settlement?” the statement asked, urging Mishra to answer these questions sincerely.

Citing the “constant shifting of goalpost,” the RPP requested Mr. Mishra to “take a BREAK.” According to the party, the ongoing Naga-led effort at unity should take precedence. “Before this elusive factional unity is realized, Mr. Mishra should avoid fishing in troubled waters,” it said.
The RPP also demanded the disbanding of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) formed by the ruling coalition, calling it a body that “serves no purpose than to peddle the propaganda that the NDPP-BJP coalition government is doing something.”
Criticizing “self-serving leaders obsessed with their own individual legacy and fiefdom,” the party said they have failed to understand the pulse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. “The recurring pattern of PM Modi’s term is that he respects strength… But the same Prime Minister who respects strength can also show the same disdain, and it’s important that stakeholders understand this reality,” it stated.

The release concluded with a warning that “entities chasing self-serving goals at the cost of unity should be careful lest history denounce them as puppets and traitors.”
