In an effort to ensure strict compliance of Covid- 19 SOP in the district, sub -divisional magistrates (SDMs) and police department have been relentlessly carrying out their mandated job so that the impending dangers is prevented.
As part of its ongoing drive to ensure effective public curfew in the district, the district police made series of inspections in the district headquarters including district hospital, Dungrei Junction Hungpung, ZEO office Ukhrul and forest gate Jessami, among others.
The district reported 15 positive, cases in the last 24 hour.
Meanwhile, the district administration on Wednesday declared the residence of Bejoy Tamang, Phungreitang West, Ukhrul as containment area with immediate effect, while it had revoked containment orders of the whole building of Lovely Hotel Viewland zone 1, as all the family members in the containment zone tested Covid Negative.
It may be mentioned that in view of the rapid spread of the disease the state home department had announced public curfew in the seven districts of the State on May 7 and had directed the concern deputy commissioners to strictly implement the orders effective May 8 till May 17.
