Ukhrul, May 3: Ukhrul is all set to come alive with the electrifying rhythms of rock music as ShiRock 2025, the flagship event of the State Level Shirui Lily Festival 2025, after a two-year hiatus, gears up for a power-packed edition from May 20 to 24 at Bakshi Ground, Hungpung, in Ukhrul District, Manipur.

Organised by the Government of Manipur, ShiRock has become one of the premier rock music festivals in Northeast India, blending international and local talents to celebrate the cultural spirit of the region. This year promises an even more electrifying experience as Orphaned Land, the globally acclaimed progressive metal band from Tel Aviv, headlines the festival.

Adding to the Shirock 2025 high-voltage lineup are mainstream icons such as Bombay Vikings (Mumbai), known for their pioneering blend of pop and classical fusion, and Zyphertone (Pune), among others. Northeastern stars like Borkung Hrangkhawl (Tripura), Shady Mellows (Assam), and Yelhomie (Manipur) will also bring their unique sounds to the stage, showcasing the region’s vibrant music scene.

The State Level Shirui Lily Festival 2025 celebrates the rare and beautiful Shirui Lily (Lilium mackliniae), the State flower, endemic to the Shirui Kashong (Hills) of Ukhrul. This year’s festival blends cultural showcases, indigenous art and crafts, and sports with world-class music performances, making it a must-visit event for both cultural enthusiasts and music lovers from across the State and beyond.

With the majestic hills of Ukhrul as its backdrop and a star-studded lineup, ShiRock 2025 is poised to draw thousands of attendees, igniting the stage and spirit of Manipur with music, culture, and celebration.

Watch out this space as we announce the day-wise artist lineup, including all local artists soon!
