IMPHAL/UKHRUL: Six persons injured in a factional clash between suspected Zeliangrong United Front-Kamson (ZUF-K) and Zeliangrong United Front-Jenchui (ZUF-J) factions in Noney district were brought to Imphal for medical treatment, with five undergoing treatment at JNIMS and one at Shija Hospital.
The patients at JNIMS have been identified as Nelson Gangmei, 38, of Aben, Tousem Sub-Division; Gaina Kamei, 30, of Nungba; Kalanthui Kamei, 20, of Nungba; Disinthui Gonmei, 32, of Kaiphundaijaeng; and Pouchuilung, 18, of Nungba.
At Shija Hospital, Sharon Inpui, 30, son of R. Athun of Puichi, Noney, was treated for bullet-entry wounds to the right side of the chest and right arm, along with multiple splinter injuries.
The injured were brought to Imphal by CRPF personnel following the gunfight in the Noney-Haochong area.

The clash reportedly took place at around 5:30 am on Saturday at Nungtek, Karuangmuan Part-II, under Noney Police Station, leaving one person dead and six others injured, according to police.
The deceased has been identified as Jangailing Gonmei, 37, of Taosang Pinjang village. Three of the six injured were reported to be in critical condition.
The injured were initially provided emergency first aid and treatment at Makaam Hospital, Longmai Bazar, before being referred to Imphal for further treatment under CRPF escort.
