KANGPOKPI: A certificate distribution ceremony for a skill development programme was held at the Office of the deputy chief minister at Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (ADC) on Tuesday.
The programme was organised by The Art of Living and sponsored by Manipur deputy chief minister Nemcha Kipgen. It provided vocational training to local youth in areas including tailoring and mobile phone repair.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Kipgen highlighted the importance of skill development, self-reliance and continuous learning among youth. She also encouraged the trainees to make use of the skills acquired through the programme.
During the ceremony, Kipgen distributed completion certificates to the trainees who successfully completed the training.
The programme began with an invocation prayer by Ginthang Kipgen, followed by a report on the programme presented by Project Manager Chongoulen Hangshing.

Trainees Kimneihoi Haokip and Lhingdeikim Kipgen also shared their experiences of the training programme.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by trainee representative Hoipineng/Phaldeichong Khongsai, followed by a group photograph and refreshments.
