Sr Gladys Vellerian SABS Felicitation held

Chandel: Felicitation and Thanksgiving Programme of Sr Gladys Vellerian SABS, daughter of late Ng Joseph & Ts Rosemary Peningshong of Monsang Pantha village was held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Monsang Pantha on Saturday. Previously, her first religious profession and vestition were held on October 7, 2023, at St Joseph Parish Church Chumoukedima, Nagaland.

Monsang Pantha is a catholic village in the Chandel district of Manipur. So far, the Monsang Pantha village has produced three (3) Catholic Fathers and six (6) Sisters. Former Arch Bishop of Manipur, Most Rev Dominic Lumon is from Monsang Pantha village. Sr Gladys Vellerian SABS is the youngest among them in the religious profession. 

Rev F Michael Kochuparamdil, Parish Priest, St Peter’s Parish, Monsang Pantha, Chandel was the main celebrant. The felicitation and thanksgiving event was marked by speeches of appreciation from various catholic church leaders, relatives, gift presentation and blessing prayer for Sr Gladys Vellerian’s future endeavours.
