Tadubi villagers pledge to follow key appropriate behaviour in fighting COVID-19

The Government initiative for COVID-19 Sensitization Programme for Mao Tribe was organized by Mao Council today in collaboration with District Administration & CMO, District Medical Department, at Tadubi Community Hall with chairmen, secretaries and authorities of Mao Villages, Mao Students’ Union, and Mao Naga Women Welfare Association.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Adahrii Maheo representing District Administration appealed to support the government in combating the pandemic by adopting appropriate Covid-19 behaviour and self discipline of social distancing, wearing of face mask and regular washing of hands.

District Medical Department led by CMO Pukeho Pfoze, accompanied by DSO Dr Jacob Pao and Peter appealed to village authorities to uphold the new SOP for home isolation of asymptomatic or very mild Covid-19 positive cases.

As per the notification order of the government for home isolation, the duration of home isolation will be of 14 days. With around 250 members present at the programme which took place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the members present pledged to follow key appropriate behaviours to fight against the outbreak of COVID-19.

The data update of COVID-19 in Senapati District stands at 538 positive cases with 467 recovered patients and 73 active cases till date. While positive cases from the general population are 39 with one death and eight in home isolation; the overall District recovery is 86.80%.
