Fearing local Transmission in Tamenglong with the test result of a total of 24 people, residents of various parts of Tamenglong contracting Covid-19 virus on Monday, the district magistrate Armstrong Pame at 5:00pm in view of the impending threat of Covid-19 issued immediate containment measures.
In an order issued Monday evening, Tamenglong district administration declared the entire geographical area of the containment area; closures of schools; offices and banning public of any type; banning vehicular movement in the area; initiating active surveillance of Covid-19 cases until further orders.
The district administration declared containment zone the entire area falling under Chingkhuilong Colony, Ward no. V; Markets and shop establishments around the Jadanong Bazaar till the UBS Junction marked by the traffic point; District colony council; Model village.
The district administration in the order permitted officials assigned for duty movement following all SOP as circulated by the department of health.
