Tamenglong observes 72nd Republic Day at Jadonang Memorial Park

Despite COVID19 pandemic issues, 72nd Republic Day 2020 was held successfully today in Tamenglong at Jadonang Memorial Park, district headquarters. District Police, 5th Manipur Rifles and 5th Manipur Rifles Band Party take part in the Republic Day Parade.

Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong, Armstrong Pame IAS, unfurled the Indian National Flag as Chief Guest.

Similar events were also observed in the sub-divisional HQ where BLOs, government officials, Students, CSO leaders, villages/wards leader, attended the program.


Meanwhile the 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 22 Sector AR/ HQ IGAR (EAST) celebrated the 72nd Republic Day Tamenglong district headquarters and Tousem Sub-division. As per AIR News report, 85 inmates from Children’s Home Tamenglong joined the unit in the Republic Day celebration.
