Ukhrul, Jan 25: A college-level symposium competition on the UN theme of World Wetlands Day, 2025: “Protecting wetlands for our common future” was held at Tamenglong College today. The event was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College in collaboration with the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur.

Dr. Kinthuijinang Maremmei, Principal of the college gave the opening remarks and Namsurei Thomas Kamei, Coordinator, IQAC proposed the concluding remarks of the event.  Dr. Ninglu, Assoc. Prof & HoD, Political Science, and NG Tuakeulung were the jury members. The competition was moderated by Poukhuanguang, Guest Faculty.

Pouchamdinliu Newmai of B.Sc 3rd semester was declared the winner and she will represent the college at the state-level competition to be held on January 30, 2025, at Imphal. The winners and participants were given a trophy and an appreciation certificate each. The event was attended by staff and students of the college.
