Tangkhul Frontal Organisations Intensify Agitation

Ukhrul: Feb 11: The Tangkhul Frontal Organisations intensify its agitation by totally sealing the office of DC Office and Bungalow, SP Office and SDO Ukhrul office.

A press release issued by the Media Cell of Tangkhul Naga Long and its Frontal Organizations on Tuesday stated that “Intensifying the agitation launched against the absolute uncalled for manner in which Kengoo Zuringla (IAS), Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul District, Manipur, has been ordered to hand over charge within less than 24 hours’ time, the Tangkhul Frontal Organizations have today sealed the DC Bungalow. Earlier, the offices of DC, SP and SDO Ukhrul had already been locked to put government official activities to a complete halt following the failure of the authority concerned to give any positive response to their demand despite repeated reminders.

The Tangkhul Naga Long and its frontal organizations have made their stand loud and clear that they would continue their agitation and even in more intensified form till their legitimate demand, which is registered for the sole interest of the public is met.

At this crucial juncture when adversary’s quest for scrapping of Free Movement Regime and Border Fencing along the entire Naga inhabited borders is looming large, we Nagas should never accept our God-given honour, dignity self respect and identity getting trampled upon whatsoever manner and by the powers that be.”

The ongoing agitation by the Tangkhul Frontal Organisations has completely hampered the functioning of the District Administration of Ukhrul.
