The Tangkhul Naga Wungnao Long (Tangkhul Naga Headman’s Association) served an “Explanation call” notice to Airtel and Jio telecom service providers in Ukhrul district over poor internet service in the district.
The summon letter directed the two service provider management heads to appear before the Headman’s Association office in Wino Bazaar on February 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm sharp.
Denizens of Ukhrul has been reeling under poor internet connectivity despite assurance of improvement from the telecom companies operating in Ukhrul district.
The district populace in general and businesses, TNWL said have been handicapped due to the poor service provided by the outlets with no sign of improvement.
Businesses in Ukhrul town cannot function without basic infrastructure in place, primarily telecom service, reliable electricity and robust banking system.
