Tashar village celebrates 75th Naga Independence Day

Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandamic, Tashar village celebrated the 75th Naga Independence Day at the premises of Tashar Village Authority at 8 am today.

The Village Headman, AS. Shinmi hoisted the Naga flag in the presence of student leaders, women leaders and Village Council members in response to the National call and appeal of the NSF to commemorate the Naga Independence Day in a historic and significant manner by hoisting Naga National flag.

The Village Headman, in his short speech elucidated the struggle, aspiration and identity connected with the Naga National flag.

The day is significant as it stands as a reminder to every Naga citizen of the sacrifices that many freedom fighters made to free Naga people. The commemoration of 75th Naga Independence Day assumed more significance as the NSCN gives a renewed push for a final solution to the long-drawn Naga Political issue.
