Th. Muivah condoles Dr. Manmohan Singh’s passing

Ukhrul, Dec 28: The General Secretary of NSCN-IM Th. Muivah has expressed deep sadness at the passing of India’s former Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh.

The NSCN supremo described the late Prime Minister as a leader of great vision and integrity who was instrumental in advancing the Naga peace talks.

The NSCN-IM General Secretary Th. Muivah mentioned that the late Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh tasked a team from his council of Ministers under his leadership to engage with the NSCN leadership, reflecting his genuine commitment to resolving the Naga issue.

He also recalled his privilege of leading an NSCN delegation to meet the late Prime Minister in 2010. Aware of the complexities, he had reportedly remarked, “The Naga political issue can be solved outside the box,” showcasing his profound understanding and willingness to explore innovative solutions.

Th. Muivah expressed that with the passing of India’s former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, the Naga people had lost an important Indian leader who not only comprehended their history but was sincere in addressing their rights. He offered his heartfelt condolences to his family and the people of India and wished for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
