Th. Muivah Condoles “True Friend” Tapan K Bose’s Passing

Ukhrul, Feb 1: The General Secretary of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim Th. Muivah has condoled the passing of renowned filmmaker and human rights activist Tapan K Bose.

In a condolence message, the NSCN supremo Th. Muivah stated that he was deeply saddened by the passing of Tapan K Bose, a distinguished journalist and human rights activist. He stated that the departed Tapan K Bose was a true friend of the Naga people and someone who not only understood their rights but one who stood by them in their struggle.

“Mr. Bose was a statesman in the truest sense, a man of integrity who felt the sentiments of the Naga people and fearlessly championed our cause despite immense challenges. His unwavering support and invaluable counsel helped shape the Naga National movement in meaningful ways,” he said. He also stated that during his time in prison, Tapan K Bose stood by him offering his assistance and playing a crucial role in securing his release. His influence extended beyond borders, fostering friendships and alliances that strengthened our movement on the international stage. His advocacy for the rights of the Naga people remains a significant chapter in our history, Th. Muivah said.

The NSCN General Secretary further stated that with Tapan K. Bose’s passing, they had lost not only an ally but also a dear friend whose guidance would be deeply missed. His memory will live on, passed down through generations as an inspiration, he said and added that his courage to stand for the oppressed, his principles, and his statesmanship will remain as a lasting monument. While we may or may not find another friend like him, he is truly irreplaceable, he added.

The NSCN Supremo, on behalf of the Naga Nation and its people, extended his heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the departed soul. He also prayed to the Almighty to grant the families strength and comfort in this time of grief.
