TYCM Team Calls on Deputy CM Nemcha Kipgen’s Nominee

UKHRUL: A team of the Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM), Council Headquarters, led by its president Momo Tantanga on Monday held a meeting with Judy Gachui Shangrei, nominee of the Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen at the Minister’s Office, Minister Block, Mantripukhri.

During the meeting, various important tribal issues were discussed, including recruitment to vacant posts in the Directorate of Tribal Affairs & Hills Department, the Tribal Research Institute (TRI), and the Manipur Tribal Development Corporation (MTDC); implementation of schemes under the National Scheduled Tribes Finance & Development Corporation (NSTFDC) in the State of Manipur; measures for strengthening the Manipur State Commission for Scheduled Tribes (MSCST); and the construction/establishment of MLAs’ offices at the respective ST constituency headquarters in Manipur. The meeting was very positive and fruitful, TYCM said in a statement.

It informed that the office of the Deputy Chief Minister is functioning effectively through her nominee working diligently for the welfare of the tribal communities of Manipur. 

Expressing satisfaction with the functioning and execution of works by her office, despite the absence of the Deputy Chief Minister at her office in Imphal, TYCM stated that it is hopeful that that the Deputy Chief will continue to work for the larger interest of the tribal communities of Manipur and materialize long-pending tribal issues into action within a short period.
