The Prophets Mizoram is King of ShiRock 2022

Ukhrul: ShiRock 2022 night witnessed a sea of people at Bakshi ground to watch Monuments, a UK metalcore djent International band perform at the closing act of Shirock 2022.

The whole ground in high energy, ready to rock and roll, was fully packed with thousands and thousands of people flocking in from across the state and from Northeast India, ranging right from the young to the very last old fans, letting go of inhibitions gathered to experience the thrilling high-spirited performance of the International band, all the way from the United Kingdom.

Young rising local artists like Yungyung and Kakami from Manipur opened the show last night filled with full frenzy.

The scintillating performance by the A-Lister Tangkhul duo were followed by the result declaration of the Rock Contest, Shirock 2022.

The Prophets, from Mizoram bagged the first prize winning a whooping cash prize of ₹10 lakhs.

Another band from Meghalaya, Symphonic Illusions were adjudged the first runner up and won a sum of  ₹5 lakhs. The band placed third, 1BHK from Manipur won ₹2.5 lakhs.

Six individual prizes were handed out:
Suraj Chingkheimayum (Aural Paradox) was chosen as the best vocal.
Jaye Haokip (Echoes of Mercy) adjudged the Best Bassist,
Donald Pheiphi (Variation 4) secured The Best Guitarist,
Raegan Yuumnam (Terra Progeny) was awarded The Best Drummer,
Samuel (The Prophets) for The Best Keyboardist, and
The Symphonic Illusions earned the title for The Best Stage Performance.

Result declaration was followed by a performance from The Prophets, the winner of ShiRock 2022 rock band competition.

The much awaited band, Monuments came onstage and shook the crowd with their electrifying performance, making ShiRock 2002 a remarkably unforgettable night.
