Chandel: The Wanderers emerged champions of the 1st Thoruwl Trophy Futsal Tournament organised by the Thoruwl Foundation, Chandel at Thoruwl Turf in Liwa Sarei.

The Wanderers secured the top honour by edging past Football Lovers today in a keenly contested final clash this afternoon.

The two sides started cautiously and entered into the break goalless but Shetngam scored twice back to back in the 27th and the 33rd minutes to make it 2-0 before Fedrick and Stephen took their turns to score in the 33rd and the 34th minutes to cut short the lead for Football Lovers.

The Wanderers however emerged the luckier side as Winkle managed to score the winner the two sides were looking for in the 40th minute.

SL Shetngam Anal of the Wanderers was adjudged player of the final match as Ng Bedeenpar Moyon of Iconic Five, Winkle Chothe of The Wanderers and Zingthan Shinglai of Football Lovers were respectively adjudged top scorer, best player and best goalkeeper of the tournament.
