Chandel, April 20: April 20, 2024 marked the commencement of free grassroots football coaching for boys and girls organized by the Thoruwl Foundation in collaboration with the District Sports Association (DSA), Chandel. The inaugural session took place at Thoruwl Turf, Liwa Sarei, Chandel, with blessings from the President of DSA, Chandel, TS Chamna Anal, and the declaration of the opening by HL Lovingson Anal, Senior Vice President of DSA, Chandel.
The coaching team, comprising licensed coaches HL Momin Anal (AFC-C Diploma), Sh Promsing Monsang (AFC-C Diploma), PS Kanwar Anal (AIFF-D), SP Christani Anal (AIFF-D), and TS Newry Anal (AIFF-D), conducted the opening training session. The DSA coaches will continue to lead the three-month-long training program.
Additionally, Th Joyshing Monsang and TS Gloryall Anal will oversee the training as Events Manager and Managing Director, respectively.
More than 70 grassroots trainees are actively participating in the training program. Notably, the parents of all trainees were present at the opening function, demonstrating their support and enthusiasm for the initiative. HL Lovingson Anal, Vice President of DSA, Chandel, praised the Thoruwl Foundation for organizing the training and providing a splendid turf ground.
He urged all parents to ensure their children’s regular attendance, emphasizing the importance of this opportunity for their development in football.
