The resolutions also demanded the non-extension of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with Kuki armed groups, whose agreement expired on September 24, 2026.
Other demands included the safe return, resettlement and rehabilitation of internally displaced persons (IDPs), removal of Assam Rifles and establishment of neutral and effective border management, implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) with 1951 as the foundational reference year, and immediate removal of deputy chief minister Nemcha Kipgen from the Cabinet.
The collective declaration stated that the people of Manipur, irrespective of community, ethnicity, region or geographical affiliation, remained committed to peace with justice, mutual respect, equal dignity and protection of the indigenous people.
It further called upon the governments of India and Manipur to acknowledge the collective voice of the people and take immediate, sincere and time-bound action on the adopted resolutions.
