TKS in a release Saturday said that such directive is a clear defiance of the Supreme Court’s and Manipur High Court’s order for voluntary vaccination.

“While appealing to parents and students over the age of 15 years for careful consideration of
vaccination, the office of the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong hereby clarifies that we are opposed to
any such blanket imposition of vaccine mandate policy from the government and thus leave the
choice to your voluntary decision,” the Saklong added.

Urging all residents in the district to strictly adhere to all Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, TKS also appealed denizens to take all necessary precautions to ensure public health safety.
