Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin in Meghalaya’s Nongpoh

Shillong: Two drug peddlers were arrested along with heroin at Nongpoh in the Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya this morning.

Sumit Naha (21) and Rahul Ghosh (25), both of Dibrugarh Assam, were apprehended by a night super bus, police said.

During a search, 2 soap boxes containing heroin weighing 21.05 grams along with 8 vials and 1 syringe were found intheir possession, police further said.

A case has been registered at Nongpoh police station and an investigation is on to trace backwards and forward linkages.
