Two including woman held with 219 gram of heroin powder in Manipur

Two persons including a woman were arrested with 219 gram of heroin powder by a team of Narcotic and Affairs of Border (NAB) of the Manipur Police department on Thursday.

A press release of the state Police PRO said that the alleged drug paddlers were arrested during an operation at Kanglatombi Bazar under Sekmai police station of Imphal West district on Thursday, around 4.30 pm.

The police identified the arrested alleged drug peddlers as Thangkikhel and Lhingneithen.

The NAB team recovered 17 caps of heroin powder weighing about 219 grams (including the weight of caps) from their possession, the police press release further said.

A case has been registered at NAB police station against the duo for further necessary investigation and legal action, the press release added.
