Two Trucks Gutted in Fire at Kathikho Karong Garbage Dumping Site; Drivers Missing

Senapati: Two trucks were destroyed in a fire that broke out at the Kathikho Karong garbage dumping area in Senapati district on Wednesday evening along National Highway-2.

According to sources, the incident occurred at around 7:20 PM. The vehicles, a container truck and a six-wheeler truck, had reportedly arrived from Imphal at approximately 2:30 PM and were parked at the dumping site when the fire broke out.

Both trucks were said to be empty at the time of the incident. Fire brigade from Senapati rushed to the spot and successfully brought the blaze under control.

The drivers of both vehicles are currently untraceable. One of the drivers is reportedly a Muslim resident of Assam. The owner of the trucks is believed to be from the Imphal Valley.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and further details are awaited as authorities continue their inquiry into the incident.
