UKHRUL: The Thangkin Youth Club (TYC) has issued a clarification regarding a Manipur Police report dated January 21, 2026, which mentioned the arrest of a woman identified as Veronica Moyon of Thangkin village in connection with the possession of contraband items.

According to TYC General Secretary Didicus Ngoruw, while Veronica Moyon originally hails from Thangkin village, she has been married to a resident of Penaching village for the past 10 years. The youth body stated that she is currently residing in Penaching village and is no longer affiliated with Thangkin village or its activities.

The clarification, the TYC said, was issued to dispel any misconceptions or assumptions linking the incident to Thangkin village.
