Manipur Governor Hands Over Case to NIA, Assures Bereaved Family

UKHRUL: The Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla expressed grief over the death of Mayanglambam Rishikanta Singh on X and assured the bereaved family that the case will be investigated by the National Investigation Agency to ensure a thorough and impartial inquiry.

He added that intensive combing operations have been underway since Wednesday, with State and Central forces working in coordination to apprehend those responsible.

Meanwhile, the state government, expressing its deepest condolences and sharing grief and sorrow of the the bereaved family, announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.
