Ukhrul: Savio High School Crowned Champion of Edu-Fest 2024

Ukhrul: Savio High School, Ukhrul, emerged as the overall champion at the 7th edition of Edu-Fest 2024. A total of 370 participants from 15 schools competed across 15 disciplines in the event.

Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner Kengoo Zuringla (IAS) graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest. In her address, she praised the event, saying, “NEFEC has created this platform for students from various schools to come together and compete in different disciplines. Students should compete and learn from one another, aiming high and becoming a source of blessing for society. I’m sure the activities during this three-day festival have been a wonderful experience for you all. I want to thank the teachers from all the participating schools for taking the time and effort to be here. Your dedication is truly appreciated. And thank you, students, for participating in this educational festival; I’m sure you’ll come back stronger and better next year.”

Kengoo Zuringla also distributed the prizes and certificates to the winners and position holders.

In the Extempore Speech competition, Thotchanphy A. Luithui of KTL Excel Higher Secondary School was declared the winner, while Songaror Chiphang of Savio High School and Sonthui Ragui of Simple Solution School secured the second and third positions, respectively.

In the Quiz Competition, Ezer Leisan & Wungsomi Chamroy of Simple Solution School took first place. Tararik Kapudang & Ngachei Zimik of Savio High School claimed second, while MY. Uunzak Chahongnao & Sominao Hunphunwoshi of Jesus’ Goodwill School placed third.

In the “My Dream: Futurological Project” contest, MY. Uunzak Chahongnao & Elinah A. Shimray of Jesus’ Goodwill School emerged victorious. Soyophy Luikham & Thuingyai Ragui of Savio High School and Mansak Ringthemmi Ruivah & Mashunyui Thumra of KTL Excel Higher Secondary School came in second and third, respectively.

In the Painting Competition (Class III-IV category), Sorinthem R. Zimik of Savio High School won first place. Sorinchon Yangya of NLM Yangrei English School, Paorei, and Ngasomi Alex Phiamphu of Savio High School took second and third place, respectively. For the Class V-VI category, Masha Jajo of Maringmi Memorial School secured first place, while Victory Shongzan and Okchir Kashak of KTL Excel Higher Secondary School won second and third. In the Class VII-IX category, Shangreiyo of KTL Excel Higher Secondary School claimed first place, followed by Worchuirin Hongray of Savio High School in second, and Sakrinmi of KTL Excel Higher Secondary School in third.

In the Spelling Bee (Class III-V category), Mirinso Shangchiri of Edify Children Foundation School emerged as the winner, followed by Leishichui H.A. of OTC Juniors’ Academy in second and Thangmeihor Kuireiwoshi of Thotdhar Rin Worshim in third. In the Class VI-IX category, Ngayinri Vashum of OTC Juniors’ Academy took first place, with Sonungphi Muivah of St. Mary’s School and Kahorshon Vashum of NLM Yangrei English School in second and third, respectively.

In Creative Writing (Class IV-VI category), K.H. Wesleyna of Simple Solution School won first place. Lanso Kumrah of OTC Juniors’ Academy secured second, and Ramchanphi Raising of Simple Solution School took third.

In Acapella, Savio High School was declared the winner, followed by OTC Juniors’ Academy in second, and KTL Excel Higher Secondary School in third place.

In the Cultural Show, Savio High School took first place, with Oriental Naga Academy and KTL Excel Higher Secondary School in second and third, respectively.

In Mime, OTC Juniors’ Academy claimed the top spot, followed by Oriental Naga Academy in second, and Savio High School in third.

In the Choreography competition, OTC Juniors’ Academy captivated the audience and won first place. Savio High School and KTL Excel Higher Secondary School took second and third, respectively.

In the Mini-Marathon (Boys), Micheal Wungkhai of Oriental Naga Academy was the winner, with Chuimeingam R. Shaiza of Savio High School in second, and Wungmareo Shatsang of St. Mary’s School in third. In the Mini-Marathon (Girls), Chonchui A. Shatsang of Savio High School took first place, followed by Jami Raleng of Savio High School in second, and Soyachui Chawung of St. Mary’s School in third.

The three-day Edu-Fest 2024 witnessed fierce competition, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their talents, creativity, and skills.
