The briefing was attended by Rev. Father Dr. Parvis John, Principal of St. Joseph College; Lieut. Chonchui CS, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work; and Gracy Haorei, Assistant Professor, Department of Education.

Kasar said the upcoming student dialogues would focus on four central pillars: strengthening the national sports ecosystem; nurturing talent for the 2036 Olympics; fostering youth leadership and governance; and empowering youth for Viksit Bharat.

As part of the programme, participating campuses in Ukhrul will connect with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through live interaction and telecast sessions. St. Joseph College will host a Type-A two-way live interaction with the Prime Minister, while Pettigrew College will host a Type-B telecast.

Following the Prime Minister’s address, both campuses will hold interaction sessions with local sports personalities. Former national football player Reisangmi Vashum will interact with students at St. Joseph College, while prominent football administrator, technical director and co-founder of the Ukhrul Basic Soccer Foundation, Reisangpemmi Kasomwoshi, will lead the session at Pettigrew College.

“This two-way live session with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by dialogues with our own sports veterans, is an unprecedented opportunity for Ukhrul’s youth. I encourage students and aspiring athletes across the district to actively participate,” Worchipem said.

The programme will also include Yuva Samvaad listening sessions, through which inputs and perspectives gathered from students will be compiled into policy recommendations. These recommendations will contribute to India’s broader sporting and development roadmap under the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision.
