Unidentified Miscreants Torch Tuibuong SDO Office in Churachandpur

UKHRUL, NOV 11: Unknown individuals torched the Tuibuong Sub-Divisional Office (SDO) building in Kolmun village, roughly 5 km north of Churachandpur police station in Manipur’s Churachandpur district, on Monday night around 8:20 pm.

The blaze gutted official documents, furniture, computers, and other items. The fire reportedly originated in a room handling Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) payments for internally displaced persons staying in nearby relief camps.

Local sources said they spotted two men fleeing the scene after flames became visible. Locals quickly intervened, containing the fire and preventing wider damage.

Police have opened an investigation, but the motive remains unknown.
