Senapati: The United Naga Council (UNC) has termed the Ukhrul bomb blast incident as “barbaric and inhuman act of terrorism.” The UNC said today that it will not remain a “silent spectator.”

Strongly condemning the bomb blast in Ukhrul that occurred on January 25, 2023, the UNC said that every citizen should strongly condemn it. The UNC also said that “unknown miscreants” triggered the bomb where four “innocent people were seriously injured.”

The Naga body said, “Every citizen should condemn such an act in the strongest term to stop such culture and whoever is accountable for the act should own responsibility as to why innocent populace was targeted.”

The UNC then urged the “competent authority” to book the perpetrators at the earliest and must be brought to justice.

The Naga body then appealed to all to shun violence of any form in the future so that peace may prevail in the land.
