UPSC declares 2021 Civil Services Exam results; 8 from NE clears

The result for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services 2021 exams held in October 2021 (preliminary) and January 2022 (Mains) has been declared on Monday.

Out of the 685 candidates who have been shortlisted for the Class 1, trinity services, IAS, IPS, IFS under the Central Government of India, Shruti Sharma bagged All India Rank (AIR) 1, followed by Ankita Agarwal AIR 2 and Gamini Singla AIR 3, all women securing the top three ranks, respectively.

Of the total 685 candidates shortlisted on Monday, eight from Northeast cleared the prestigious examinations. One each from Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, two each from Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, respectively.

Shilpa Khanikar is ranked AIR 506, while Debajyoti Barman is ranked AIR 639. Both are from Assam.

From Nagaland, Viku L Achumi is ranked AIR 567, while Imsennaro Walling secured AIR 585.

Wairokpam Punshiba Singh secured AIR 238, while Makakmayum Hosni Mubarak, also from Manipur ranked AIR 575.

Tenzin Chonzom from Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh ranked AIR 584.

Ankur Das of Meghalya topped among all the seven candidates from Northeast ranked at AIR-52.
