SENAPATI: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Senapati, on Saturday briefed media persons on the implementation of Phase III of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll, 2026, and appealed to all eligible voters to actively participate in the exercise.
During the briefing, the DC informed that Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) of the 47-Karong, 48-Mao and 49-Tadubi Assembly Constituencies have completed the distribution of 1,50,097 Enumeration Forms to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) covering all polling stations in the district.
Stated that BLOs have commenced door-to-door visits to distribute partially filled Enumeration Forms to registered electors and will continue the exercise till June 28. Voters have been urged to verify and furnish the required information to ensure the accuracy of the Electoral Roll.
Clarifying the procedure, the DC said that no documents will be collected from electors during the enumeration phase. Voters may also download and submit the forms online through the Election Commission’s voter portal and the ECINET mobile application.
The DC further informed that electors who do not return the Enumeration Forms may be identified under the categories of Absent, Shifted, Dead or Duplicate (ASDD) following due verification. The list will be made available for public scrutiny to ensure transparency in the revision process.

Emphasizing the importance of the exercise, the DC stated that the objective of the Special Intensive Revision is to ensure that all eligible voters are included in the Electoral Roll while removing ineligible entries. The official also called upon political parties, Booth Level Agents, and the general public to cooperate fully in the process.
Appealing to the public, the DC urged all voters to submit their Enumeration Forms within the stipulated period and avail themselves of the assistance provided by BLOs, the Voter Helpline 1950, and online facilities for any clarification
