Bishnupur: Women from various parts of Manipur stormed DC office Bishnupur today demanding to stop mass burial of numerous corpses at sericulture complex situated at Torbung Bangla which will aggravate the ongoing crisis in Manipur and to take up necessary precautions and security measures to prevent further untoward incident in this prevailing crisis.

Security blocked the womenfolk who rallied against the proposed mass burial at the main gate of Bishnupur Mini Secretariat. A team of women representative meet DC Bishnupur L. Bikram, IAS and SP Bishnupur M. Ronnie, MPS.

The protesting women dispersed after the authority gave assurance that no such mass burial will take place on state land without the permission of authority and necessary security measures has been taken up in the area.

On the sidelines of today’s incident, one women protestor told this correspondent that the Kukis should not to build mass grave on the area of Torbung Bangla. Warning the government that it should not allow the proposed mass burial in the area, said that if the burial happens tomorrow, there will be mass destruction on both sides in Trobung Bangla.
