Yursem A Chihui, Adonis Tangpu to Compete in 18th MTB National Championship at Pune, Representing Manipur

Two riders from team Chiko Adventures representing Manipur state have arrived at Pune, Maharashtra for the 18th MTB National Championship, 2021-2022 which kick started from 26th and will go on till 31st October at Alandi.

The two promising riders from Ukhrul distirct are the first for team Chiko Adventures and arguably the first for Yursem A Chihui participating in the national cycling event.

Yursem A Chihui from Khangkhui village will compete for downhill, senior MTB men’s category, while Adonis Tangpu from Peh village will compete in cross-country (XCO) – U23 lite men from Manipur state. The race is scheduled on October 30 and 31.

The duo to compete in the 18th MTB National Championship were selected by Manipur Mountain Bike Association (MAAMBA) from the state on October 18. All together, three cyclists were selected for Downhill and 4 for Cross country.

Adonis had bagged hat-rick Gold Medals in the 17th National MTB Cycling Championship held at Gadag, North Karnataka from 19-21 February 2021.
