1st Youth Gospel Olympic at Berean Baptist Academy Campus Noney

Noney: The 1st Youth Gospel Olympic under the motto “Towards the Goal through Christ” organised by Berean Baptist Ministry commenced December 5 at Berean Baptist Academy Campus, Khumji, Noney District.

The event was graced by Awangbow Newmai, minister, Forest, Environment & Climate Change as chief guest and Khangthuanang Panmei, Ex-MLA & vice-president, NPF, Manipur State Unit as function president in presence of Revd. BT. Pousiam, Founder, Berean Baptist Ministry .

The 1st Youth Gospel Olympic will end on December 15 and altogether, 38 football teams and 6 volleyball teams from Imphal, Tamenglong and Noney Districts will be taking part.

The 1st football match on December 5 was played between BBA and NTYC which ended in a draw 2-2 each.

Minister Newmai exhorted the youths saying “The future is yours. You need to choose the right path for a bright future. You have to protect your physical body as well as spiritual life. The youths must posses the spirit of sacrifice and explore their hidden talents”.

He further added that spiritual peace belongs to God and worldly peace is also from God. He also encouraged the youths to maintain good moral disciplines and maintain peace for the glory of God.

The minister also condemned the brutal killing of 14 innocent people at Mon District, Nagaland.

He challenged the youths to maintain peace and tranquility so that we have communal harmony in our society.
