24,844 Vaccinated till date in Ukhrul; Logs 18 New cases

Amid increase in Covid infection rate, out of 87,633 eligible population who could avail the benefits of Covid vaccination in Ukhrul district, only 24 844 have been vaccinated since 16 January 2021 till 11 August.

155 persons were vaccinated on Wednesday.

Ukhrul reported 18 new COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday while eight patients were discharged taking the total active caseload to 114.

According to latest Covid Vaccination Status Report, out of the total 87,633 eligible population in Ukhrul district, 24,844 eligible persons have taken Covid vaccination of which 18,788 have been administered the first dose while 6,056 have completed both doses.

“Out of 24,844 vaccinated population, 1186 are Healthcare Workers, 3235 are Frontline Workers, 8922 are 18-44 Age Group, 3239 are 45-59 Age Group, while 2206 are 60 Years and Above,” health official said.

With 18 new positive on Wednesday, cumulative positive cases have climbed to 1037 with 597 males and 440 females. While cumulative fatalities stand at 29, According to DSO, Ukhrul.

Out of 114 active cases, 36 are at district hospital isolation ward, 45 at transit CCC, 8 at TK Woodland Covid hospital, 23 at Ukhrul higher secondary school CHIC, and 2 at Jessami village CHIC.

The district reported six new positive cases on Tuesday.
