Senapati, October 29: The second edition of the All Naga Districts Badminton Tournament, 2025 kicked off at the Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium, Rikhumai Taphou, Senapati. The inaugural session was graced by Khashim Vashum, MLA, 45-Chingai AC, as the Chief Guest, and Losii Dikho, MLA, 48-Mao AC, as the Functional President respectively.
In his welcome and presidential address, MLA Losii Dikho stated that such an event brings together different sports enthusiasts from various Naga districts to encourage one another, calling it a great initiative with significant potential for revenue generation. The ANDBAM President mentioned that the hill districts of Manipur have produced many renowned players in different fields and expressed his gladness. The President urged all to focus on positive things and let go of negativity in life.

MLA Dikho also lauded the parents who had brought their wards to the sports field with an aim to encourage them in the tournament. While stating that sports is a serious profession, he encouraged the youth to take part in sports activities as it can bring great fame to the district, the state, and the nation, with many sportspersons earning well in the profession.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, MLA Khashim Vashum stated that he has been taking part in different sports activities, although he might not be a professional player. He added that such tournaments can motivate the youth in many ways. With wide scope in sports, the Chief Guest urged the youth to actively participate in sports as a profession.

Participated by over 400 badminton players from the Naga districts of Senapati, Tamenglong, Noney, Ukhrul, Kamjong, Chandel, and Tengnoupal, the tournament will continue till October 31 under 36 different categories. The event is organized by the All Naga Districts Badminton Association, Manipur (ANDBAM), and hosted by the Senapati District Badminton Association (SDBA).
