KANGPOKPI: The 94 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme at Saparmeina in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, on September 29, with the objective of strengthening community engagement and extending assistance to local residents.
The programme was organised under the aegis of the Inspector General, Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF, and under the supervision of Ashok Kumar Singh, Commandant of 94 Bn CRPF.

Singh attended the programme as the special guest along with officers of the battalion. Paosat Haokip, chief of Gamnom Saparmeina village, and Sitlhou, principal of Eklavya Model Residential School, Saparmeina, attended as representatives of the local community.
A large number of local representatives, prominent citizens and community members were also present.
As part of the programme, the CRPF distributed various essential and recreational items among local residents, including solar street lights, home solar lanterns, garbage bins, school bags, carrom boards, footballs, volleyballs, a volleyball net, skipping ropes and a 500-litre water storage tank.
Addressing the gathering, Commandant Ashok Kumar Singh highlighted the CRPF’s commitment to supporting local communities and contributing to their welfare through outreach initiatives. He said such programmes were aimed at addressing local needs while promoting trust, cooperation and inclusiveness between the security forces and the people.
Children from an orphanage home in Saparmeina also presented a group song during the programme.
The beneficiaries and local residents expressed appreciation for the initiative and the CRPF’s efforts towards community welfare.
The programme concluded with a message of continued cooperation and engagement between the CRPF and the local community.
