Imphal: In a press note released on Sunday, by a prominent figure from Manipur, Founder – Freedom From Mental Illness (FFMI) made a heartfelt appeal to the delegates of the International Youth Development Conclave to observe a two-minute silence in honor of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the pursuit of peace in Manipur.

The conclave, organized by Divya Yuva Manch, took place in Ellanabad, Haryana, from March 15 to 17, 2024. The event saw participation from delegates across 10 countries and various states of India, making it a truly global platform for youth development discussions.
In her speech, Deepika Mayanglambam focused on the critical areas of ensuring sustainability and mental health for the people of Manipur. She highlighted the urgent need for support for the victims of violence and conflict in the state. Her words resonated with the audience, shedding light on the ongoing struggles and the resilience of the people of Manipur.

Deepika Mayanglambam concluded her address by emphasizing the importance of raising our voices in the process of restoring peace in Manipur. She urged everyone to remember the sacrifices made by the martyrs and to work collectively towards a peaceful and prosperous future, said the release.
According to the press release, the conclave provided an avenue for young leaders to exchange their experiences and perspectives, nurturing a worldwide conversation on the advancement of youth development and the promotion of peacebuilding efforts.
