ALT, KIMECS Sign MoU for Coaching Centre

CHANDEL: The Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kankhu Institute for Medical, Engineering and Competitive Studies (KIMECS) on Saturday at its office in Panchai village, Chandel district for a coaching centre.

Addressing the media at the office of the ALT, president of the student body, Bd. Ningwar, informed that the ALT will be organising its 38th General Conference from January 27-30, 2026 at the District Sports Complex, Chandel Christian. “As part of the conference, we will also be launching the ALT Coaching Centre in collaboration with KIMECS,” he added.

The president expressed hope that the coaching centre would provide reasonable and affordable facilities to students aspiring for competition exams.

Khalter Khampa, convenor of the COC of the conference, said Chandel has been lacking one of those major coaching centres and it was time that one such was open. Appreciating KIMECS for their initiative in opening a coaching, Khampa said that the collaboration would open doors to more students aspiring for various competitive exams.

He informed that the coaching centre would be inaugurated on January 29, 2026 by Losii Dikho, MLA 48-Mao (ST) AC during the 38th ALT General Conference.

Managing Director of KIMECS, Ruwngni Ruwndar expressed his excitement at the collaboration stating that such coaching centres are the need of the hour in the district.

Chandel has many aspiring candidates for various competitive exams but coaching classes have always been expensive. So, through this collaboration we look forward to providing more accessible coaching classes and facilities, he said.

According to the agreement, the objective of the MOU is to collaborate between the parties for opening a quality coaching centre in the name of “ALT COACHING CENTRE” in collaboration with SSRDC (KIMECS) at the office building of the first party (ALT) to make for the benefit of students belonging to the Anal Naga community and the surrounding regions.

Under the agreed terms and conditions the existing infrastructures and facilities including trained teachers of KIMECS will be made available for the ALT Coaching initiatives free of user charges. However, ALT shall be responsible for payment of the fees and other related expenses for all the sponsored Anal Naga students.

The period of agreement/collaboration shall be for a period of 1(one) year from the date of commencement of classes, which can be further extended on mutual agreement between both the parties.

The MoU was signed by Ruwngni Ruwndar and Wango Hillstone, Secretary of KIMECS  while Bd. Ningwar, president, and Kt. Zecharia, secretary, signed on behalf of ALT with Khalter Khampa and Nula Wilpelngam, former ANSAM vice president, as witnesses.
