UPSC Exam: ALT to Sponsor Top 10 Students

CHANDEL: The Anal Lenruwl Tangpi on Saturday conducted its scholastic sponsorship exam 2026 for students aspiring to join the ALT Coaching Centre in order to prepare for SSC, CGL and Civil Services exams. 

Conducted at the Chakpikarong Higher Secondary School in Chakpikarong and Oakhill Christian Academy in Chandel, 53 students from the Anal community participated in the exam.

According to ALT, the student body will sponsor the top 10 students at the ALT Coaching Centre which has been opened in collaboration with KIMECS.

The ALT Coaching Centre was inaugurated on January 29, 2026 by Losii Dikho MLA 48-Mao (ST) AC, who graced the 38th General Conference of the ALT on that day as the chief guest. The coaching centre is being established with an aim to provide accessible and affordable coaching facilities to the people of Chandel, especially the Anal community.

Earlier on January 24, the Anal Lenruwl Tangpi signed a memorandum of understanding with Kankhu Institute for Medical, Engineering and Competitive Studies (KIMECS) at its office in Panchai village, Chandel district for a coaching centre.

The ALT Coaching Centre and the scholastic sponsorship exam is seen as a positive step for the district especially for the Anal community when such coaching centres are the need of the hour.

An executive member of the ALT expressed confidence that the coaching centre would definitely bear fruit in the near future. He also informed that experienced teaching/coaching staff will help and guide the students in preparing for the exams.

The ALT Coaching Centre is aimed at providing reasonable and affordable facilities to students aspiring for competition exams.
