CHANDEL, AUG 28: The Anal Naga Government Employees Welfare Association (ANGEWA) held its official handing-over and taking-over ceremony between the outgoing and incoming executive committees at Hnahringkhu Community Hall on Friday.
Established on July 27, 2023, ANGEWA is a registered association with more than 350 active members. The change of leadership followed the completion of the three-year tenure of the outgoing executive committee headed by President KL Arun.

The outgoing president moderated the programme and delivered the welcome address, acknowledging the efforts of the association’s predecessors in laying its foundation. Outgoing Financial Secretary Lh Lodia pronounced the opening prayer, while Assistant General Secretary Js Sunderson presented a brief report on the association’s activities.
The blessing ceremony and formal installation of the new executive committee were conducted by Rev. Lazarus Darya, Pastor of Hnahringkhu Baptist Church. In his exhortation, Pastor Lazarus urged the association to uphold accountability and transparency and to work towards strengthening unity within the community through integrity and a shared vision.
Outgoing General Secretary Hb Ruwngthung highlighted the various activities undertaken by ANGEWA since its inception. Among the notable initiatives was a career guidance programme organised on May 27, 2026, at Panchai Community Hall.

The newly constituted executive committee for the 2026–29 term comprises KL Wellee as President, HL Konahring as Vice President, Bd Daniel as General Secretary, JB Langhu as Assistant General Secretary, WL Beria as Finance Secretary, Dy Lorish as Statistics Secretary and RL Lutha as Information Secretary. L Mojesh and L Hmunvol will serve as Auditors, while Dr Ts Chamna, MPS, St Rithung, MCS, and KL Arun have been appointed as Advisors.
The formal handing over of the association’s registers, account books, bank passbook, official seals and other properties was completed smoothly, marking the beginning of the new committee’s tenure.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by outgoing Information Secretary St Ningwar.
