AR Organises Mega Medical and Dental Camp in Churachandpur

CHURACHANDPUR: The Churachandpur Battalion of Assam Rifles, under 27th Sector AR on Saturday organised a Mega Medical and Dental Camp at the Government High School, Saikot in Churachandpur district, Manipur.

The Mega Medical and Dental Camp witnessed free check up from specialist doctors in different fields, including General Medicine, Gynecology, Paediatric, Dental etc. with most patients from the village, including IDPs among others.

The medical and dental camp was conducted under the Army ‘s Operation Sadbhavana in coordination with specialists and medical officers from Churachandpur District Hospital along with medical and dental officers from Assam Rifles who were supported by a nursing team.

During the medical and dental camp, as many as 661 sick people availed the medical and dental service provided by AR which was to insure comprehensive medical examination, immediate medical care and counselling on the essence of health, hygiene and dietary practice to the participants which include 121 IDPs, including children and elderly persons.

Besides distribution of medicines free of cost, the Churachandpur Battalion of Assam Rifles also distributed first aid items and sports medicines to youth football teams from various pockets of Saikot.
